The ultimate question...

  • Aug. 10th, 2010 at 7:41 PM
Life.
 YouTube vlogging or Tumblr? I'm thinking of making another blog. Mostly for ranting and just other random shite. They both have their advantages- YouTube's downside would be that people would be able see me, so I'd have to put in a bit of an effort to look reasonable (That, and they'd see my house. Which is a site no one should have to see). Tumblr's downside would be that I find it easier to articulate things with speech (At least I think so) rather then writing. I suppose I think people won't get when I'm joking or being sarcastic if they can't see or hear me. And I don't think I could live with myself if I put "Just kidding" at the end of more than one sentence.

So, YouTube or Tumblr?

Another thing would be what to call this other blog. If I was just doing a ranting blog I was thinking of calling it "Je Vous Hais" which is "I Hate You" in French. Now that would be fine if I was just talking about things I hate or things that really annoy me, but if I'm going to do other things with it as well, it wouldn't be all that great. It is just a name but I've had trouble with names before (Like thinking "What the fu-" six months later. I mean, really, lizzieenglund? It might have been alright if livejournal did caps. I didn't know they didn't when I first joined, that's my excuse. And don't even get me started on MyDiamondEyes, I was twelve, man, twelve). So any input you guys might have would be great.

So my nephew poisoned my sister...

  • Jul. 8th, 2010 at 3:03 PM
Life.
My nephew, who is two (I think, I have a bad memory for... everything.), decided yesterday that it was a good idea to pour spray and wipe into a bottle of juice; thus my sister (Who is pregnant) drinking said juice, and getting poisoned. She's alright now. She didn't drink too much of it. Thankfully. And the baby's fine as well. So, lesson of the week: When it says "Keep away from children!" keep it away from children. Not for their safety but for yours. Also, all children are evil.

On another, less evil-toddler, note: I join Gaia online today. For no apparent reason, I just wanted to check it out. I have heard much about it over the years. So, anyone who's reading this journal who has a Gaia account, come add me; I'm Kioz Ven.Only because just Kioz was taken. I don't know if I'll get really into it, but I thought I'd give it a go, anyway.

Supanova!!

  • Jun. 27th, 2010 at 11:14 PM

(Yeah, I know I haven't updated in a while very long time but...)
It was Supanova weekend this weekend. And it was awesome!

It's your basic con: I made new friends, saw old friends, saw people whom I knew but probably don't remember me (Which makes me feel a bit stalker-ish). I saw guys dressed up as girls, girls dressed up as guys, and even some girls dressed up as girls and guys dressed up as guys; Cos-players are fun. I played a bit of Brawl, drew on some graphics tablets, and bought stuff I don't need.

That's my weekend in an (Extremely small) nut shell. With lots of fun in between.

Guess who's back?

  • Apr. 13th, 2010 at 12:25 AM
I'd like to see you try.
Back again? Lizzie's back, tell a friend.

...I don't actually like that song.

Anyway, I am back in Perth with my wonderful high speed connection! New Zealand was good - It has some of the most beautiful scenery. It's a shame that the people who organized the trip didn't plan sleep into the agenda. But, I enjoyed most of it nonetheless. I'll post some of the photos soon, hopefully.

I also got my graphics tablet back today (I got arrived in Perth yesterday). Well, I got a graphics tablet back. They apparently couldn't fix the USB problem so they gave me a new one. I don't really mind, I can draw again and that's all that matters.

I went to see How To Train Your Dragon today as well. I loved it! It was so brilliant and funny. I want to see it again (though I'll wait till it comes out on DVD, probably), it was just that good. I also want to ride a dragon now...

Need more sleep now, g'night.

Again and again and again...

  • Apr. 4th, 2010 at 10:11 AM

Well, I'm in Sydney, again. I'll be going on a plane tomorrow, again. And I'll be seeing the same people I saw today, again.

But, I'm going to New Zealand, which is different. I'll be flying an airline I've never flowen, and I'll be meeting new people when I get there. Should be pretty interesting.

In New Zealand we will be doing:

White water wafting, which I don't really want to do;
Cave looking, which I do want to do;
Kayaking (I think), which I'm not fazed about;
A seventeen kilometer walk up to a volcano, which I really don't want to do;
And some other things that I can't remember.

Fun.

Um, other things to say... Oh, I get internet from my dorm, which is pretty cool. Means I don't have to go down to the hall. So, I've spent most of of my time YouTube-ing Farscape. Seems my geek follows me everywhere.

Happy Birthday, Kristina!

  • Mar. 26th, 2010 at 5:50 PM

I took a little artistic liberty with the broach because I wasn't sure what was on it. But anyway...

Birthday Present! )

It should be you're birthday where you are by now. I hope you have a good one!

Also, on a side note, I'm going to Sydney next thursday then on to New Zealand! Yay! I leave on the first and get back on the eleventh, so I'll be gone a week and a half. I'll get internet in Sydney but I don't know about New Zealand (though probably not). So, yeah...

The recent happenings

  • Feb. 25th, 2010 at 4:54 PM
Life.
So, stuff that's been happening since I last posted...

Well, I bought a PS2 and Kingdom Hearts! It's really cool, even tough I haven't played much of it. I also got Quake III, Soulcalibur III and Rayman: Raving Rabbids. I only bought Rayman this week (I got the others last week), so I haven't played it yet 'cos the PS2 at my dads. Can't wait for the weekend!

I've also started do Birthday-gift-art, because I'm such a nice person (Well, that, and I've got nothing better to do). You better have your D.O.B. right on LJ 'cos that's what I'm going by. It's also giving me portrait practice, so everyone gets something out of it! (Well, I get practice; You guys get whatever crap that comes out of it.) Yay.

My first solo musical theatre class went well. I'm doing "When You're Good To Mama" from Chicago as a solo. Though, I don't know what I'm doing it for...

I also found out that a girl in my normal class - whom I used to know from an old contemporary class, so we've known each other for a while - has a book published. A fantasy book call 'Neath Crescent Light, she said she'd bring me copy this Saturday. I get it cheaper 'cos I know her. She got it published when she was fifteen. Fifteen. I'm fifteen and I've done crap all. Now I feel like I've wasted a whole bunch of years... Oh well, I've enjoyed my wasted years anyway. And I've gotten better at a lot of things in them.

Well, that's enough rambling from me...

Happy Year of the Tiger!

  • Feb. 14th, 2010 at 5:14 PM
Do you?
...Well, that's my bit done for the Chinese.

Oh, and it's also Valentines day, as well. So Happy Consumer Whore Day! I went to a picnic for this particular holiday. With the anime and cosplay crowd. It was fun, and I believe I will be forever known as "The Rose Girl." ...Well, probably...

I did not have a Valentine, oh woe is me! *eye roll* I did steal some roses though.

I danced and now I sing

  • Feb. 7th, 2010 at 1:50 PM

I'm back at dancing now. My jazz classes started last monday and ballet starts on tuesday.  I'm doing a non-performance jazz class, and I'm not doing my ballet concert. So no concerts or anything this year! ...Well maybe. I've started doing musical theatre classes through Peppermint (Peppermint Dance Company, where I do jazz) and I think my teacher wants to do performances. Our class is pretty small (like, five-people-pretty-small) so I'll probably be roped in to doing something. And who knows; I may enjoy it so much I'll want to do a performance. She's also offering private lessons; I've been wanting to do singing lessons for while now (though we will probably do other things too) so I'll probably start doing them, as well.
